Every day, we go beyond what's expected and reach for the remarkable, together. **YOUR ROLE** Role Summary The Reporting Coordinator supports Alaska Airlines' (AS) inflight safety and policy programs through records maintenance and safety management system activities. This role serves as a resource for questions regarding AS inflight safety policies and compiles the division's safety/policy data in support of cross-divisional projects/initiatives. Scope & Complexity - As an individual contributor, this position supports inflight safety and compliance reporting activities for Alaska Airlines (AS). Key Duties - Inputs Flight Attendant Incident Report (FAIR) program reports. - Conducts analysis, identifies incident risk and trends, and coordinates after-action activities. - Participates in Inflight Accident Investigation team. - Networks across divisions to enhance the current record systems. - Safety Management System (SMS) duties: - Performs division audits of the SMS, as directed by Director, Inflight Safety and Compliance. - Promotes safety in the Inflight division by developing, implementing, and maintaining SMS processes. - Coordinates and compiles departmental safety and compliance data. - Inputs flight attendant training records and maintains multiple databases to create and generate standing reports. - Interprets federal regulations that affect the Inflight department and assists in developing compliance policies and procedures. - Assists with content review of departmental manuals. - Serves as a subject a matter expert of inflight safety policies for other departments and divisions. - Performs other duties as assigned. Job-Specific Skills & Education Required - Previous administrative, data entry, coordination, or related experience. - Ability to successfully complete 5-6 weeks of Flight Attendant Training (if not already qualified as an AS Flight Attendant) and maintain certification as a Flight Attendant. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel). - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication skills (e.g., verbal, written, and listening). - Ability to work independently and to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment. - Must be able to complete all required SMS training. - High school diploma or equivalent. - Minimum age of 21. - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred - 2 or more years of air carrier experience. - Aviation Safety experience. - Ability to manage projects with limited supervision. - Knowledge of data analysis protocols. - Thorough knowledge of the flight attendant manual. - Knowledge of FAA/TSA regulations.
