- This position is part of the Customer Notifications IT organization.
- This role will be involved in managing and supporting the operations of the TIBCO Middleware stack which includes Business Works, Business Events, EMS, Hawk and Active Spaces.
- Provides the day-to-day support of all relevant TIBCO environments and the configuration and deployment tasks that support our various business processes
- Able to analyze code defects and production issues in TIBCO BW and TIBCO BE
- Basic knowledge of SQL Queries and SQL development
- Develops solutions for ongoing implementation and support application and front-end environmental issues
- Follows established processes and improves current process/procedures to meet new application needs in various areas, maintain standards, monitoring, patch management and developing automation tools
- Partners with infrastructure team, architects, and other groups in validating installation packages, installation guides, developing build specifications, and performance tuning
- Identifies opportunities to optimize current solutions and performs technical analysis and/or provides hands on technical support, in order to troubleshoot problems related to poorly performing systems in production and other test environments
- Prepares platform status reports with operation metrics
- Fosters a culture based on high trust, accountability, and team work, including working extra hours, and/or after hours, as needed, to support production
- Occasional Travels are required
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Technology, or related field or equivalent experience/training
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- 3+ years of experience with TIBCO Administration, TIBCO BW, BE, EMS, and HAWK
- 3+ years of information technology experience, ideally in the Airline Industry, with specialty in the area of Enterprise-scale Environment and implementing Middleware technology
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Knowledge of basic computer science concepts, programming and information systems.
- Experience with design patterns, frameworks, and programming languages that include but not limited to Java, Python, C++/C#, Javascript.
- Basic SQL and fundamentals of relational database design.
- Proficient in RedHat Linux.
- Knowledge with version control / source code management systems.
- Knowledge with formal build and release management workflows, tools, and activities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a fast-paced team environment.
- Professional and team oriented with good communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability and enthusiasm for rapidly learning and applying new software technologies to complex problems.
- Familiar with DevOps concepts.
