Every day, we go beyond what's expected and reach for the remarkable, together. **YOUR ROLE** Role Summary The Pricing Analyst analyzes changes in market conditions such as capacity, competition, schedules, and inventory to develop, implement, and track appropriate pricing strategies. Scope & Complexity - This individual contributor role supports pricing analysis for Alaska Air Group (AAG) and its subsidiaries. Key Duties - Analyzes changes in market conditions such as capacity, competition, schedules, and inventory to develop, implement, and track appropriate pricing strategies. - Reviews competitor fare changes in assigned markets/regions and implements changes based on strategies. - Develops and effectively communicates market/pricing strategies to the leadership team and teammates. - Proactively communicates with Inventory Analysts and understands the implications of inventory actions. - Communicates tactical/strategic changes and/or pricing initiatives with other members in Pricing and Inventory teams to maintain a coordinated approach. - Monitors and analyzes market data in order to achieve/exceed PRASM goals. - Works closely with Marketing, Sales, Reservations, IT, Revenue Accounting, and Legal. - Develops proficiency with pricing tools, process, and systems. - Owns and fulfills assigned collateral duty and ad-hoc projects. - Manipulates large data sources to analyze business questions, devise strategies, and evaluate results. - Monitors KPI performance and adjusts and communicates strategies needed to meet goals. - Performs other duties as assigned. Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills Required - A Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree, with a focus in business administration, economics, statistics, mathematics, industrial engineering or a related discipline. - Familiarity with data analysis programs (e.g., Excel, Access, Business Objects or Brio). - Ability to extract, interpret, and present large quantities of data in a clear and concise manner. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.) - Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal). - High school diploma or equivalent. - Minimum age of 18. - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred - A creative problem-solver, willing and able to work on multiple tasks, take calculated risks, and assume responsibility for results in an extremely fast paced environment.
