​This job is a member of the Training Center Operations Team within the People/HR Division.This individual will be responsible for ​helping carry out our mission to create the ideal environment for learning by caring for the basic needs and delivery logistics of learning events – contributing to our goal of providing world-class learning experiences for American Airlines team members.

What you'll do
  • Provides exceptional customer service to our internal and external customers who are delivering learning experiences by preparing materials needed for learning events (may include participant guides, name badges, certificates, and other items necessary to facilitate the class)
  • Maintains and updates training material order requests
  • Sets up training rooms before class, ensuring the room has the materials needed as specified for the class
  • Tears down training rooms after class, ensuring the materials are kept secure in storage for future use
  • Coordinates the logistics of learning events
  • Attends weekly scheduling meetings
  • Manages email correspondence and responds promptly with a customer service mindset
  • Organizes and manages inventory of training materials
  • Sorts and shelves class materials and supplies in the Production storage area in an organized manner
  • Prepares and/or coordinates the shipment of training materials for classes in other locations
  • Coordinates the timely fulfillment of training materials ordered from vendors
  • Connects with training facilitators to confirm they have the complete and appropriate materials for training
  • Accomplishes required tracking, reporting, and other administrative tasks needed for the job
  • Provides support to training stakeholders and help resolve issues that may arise with learning event logistics
  • Works in a team environment with shared responsibilities
  • Works extra hours to meet operational needs

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • ​High School diploma or GED equivalency

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Demonstrates knowledge of Learning Hub and SmAArtBuy
  • Comprehensive understanding of American Airlines and departmental policies and procedures 
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills 
  • Demonstrates excellent analytical and problem solving skills 

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Ability to be self-motivated, with strong organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
  • Ability and willingness to lift approximately 30 - 50 lbs. on a daily basis
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to perform in a fast -paced environment, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and function as an integral part of a team
  • Ability to show attention to detail
  • Ability to type 35 to 50 WPM
  • Ability to work rotating shifts
