Payroll Specialist at Orascom

Job Description:

  1. Performs daily payroll department operations.
  2. Processes monthly payrolls using payroll system HITS.
  3. Prepares and generates standard payroll and ad hoc reports, send it within specified time frames.
  4. Calculates the correct amount incorporating overtime, deductions, bonuses etc. and enters them on HITS system.
  5. Works directly with Human Resources focal points within ODE destinations on new hire set-ups, benefit enrollment changes, terminations, payroll adjustments, and other related activities, which affect payroll processing.
  6. Works directly with the Finance Dept. on bank accounts, employees’ deductions.
  7. Prepares and updates monthly needed reports to finance department.
  8. Responds to payroll inquiries from employees and provides information as needed.
  9. Cooperates with the IT Dept. to maintain the validity and accuracy of payroll system data and ensure all payroll transactions complies with company policies and procedures.
  10. Supports in resolving issues related to payroll production.
  11. Applies ODE policies, procedures and regulation, related to payroll administration.
  12. Ensures that the salary transfer process is done and finalized within the agreed time frame.
  13. Maintains employee payroll information confidentiality.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Commerce or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in similar position.
  • Previous experience on HITS system is a must.
  • Languages: Arabic & English fluently spoken and written.
  • Computer skills: MS Office (word, excel)
