  • Responsible for leadership and administrative management for the revenue accounting automation team
What you'll do
  • Leads a team of Product Owners and Functional Testers to support initiatives brought forward by Payment business team
  • Works with revenue accounting leadership team to establish goals, processes and technology initiatives, develops and maintains product/project roadmaps, leads the prioritization process
  • Oversees large/complex projects in regard to schedule, scope, and budget
  • Owns and maintains Payment Product backlog at the enterprise level
  • Communicates frequently and effectively with revenue accounting leadership team on health of various projects
  • Leads the corporate Payment initiatives and partners with cross functional teams involved to ensure continuous progress
  • Leads the revenue accounting automation and business teams in strategic planning, process refinement, and organizational development activities 
  • Stays up-to-date with Payment industry regulations and mandates, to help drive solutions by partnering with IT
  • Leads the team to ensure objectives are met on time, within budget, and delivers value to business partners
  • Communicates, assists, and advises team on policies and procedures, technical problems, priorities and methods
  • Works with American Airlines Payment processing partners to ensure solutions we are building are scalable and compliant with the industry requirements
  • Participates in recruiting, selecting, and onboarding new team members
  • Facilitates and encourages employee development through creation of goals, setting expectations, giving performance feedback, mentoring and providing development opportunities
  • Represents Payment team at various Product kickoff meetings to ensure we create a seamless payments experience for our customers
  • Supervises product owners and testing team to support the revenue accounting business processes
  • Acts as a single point of contact for business and IT teams
All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems/Management Information Systems/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience/training
  • 7+ years of related experience
  • Resource management experience

 

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Experience in leading large/complex projects to successful completion
  • Experience in leading a team of 5 or more members
  • Proven project management and project management methodology experience, including technology delivery methods
  • Payments related experience
  • Experience with airline operations and systems
  • Knowledge of mainframe query tools, Project Funding procedures, SOX, and GAAP experience
  • Prior airline experience
  • Experience working in Agile/DevOps team

 

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Excellent analytical thinking skills
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects of varying sizes
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel
