Taking on each day knowing we're part of something remarkable. **YOUR ROLE** Role Summary As an individual contributor, the HR Business Partner provides HR support and knowledge to partner with company leaders to address business challenges and provide strategic solutions in matters that may impact our employees. While exercising considerable judgement, this role also consults with leaders and employees on HR strategy, programs, and services to support high performance and ensure alignment with leadership principles. This includes helping to solve employee relations issues, lead and resolve employee investigations, interpret policies and procedures along with supporting annual HR programs such as performance reviews, promotions, succession planning, and action plans resulting from employee engagement surveys. This role actively manages HR priorities in alignment with company goals, policies, and regulations and applicable laws to support employees and manage risk for the company. Key Duties - Apply deep knowledge in human resources best practices to partner with business leaders to provide strategic solutions and support for organizational effectiveness, leadership development, engagement, workforce & succession planning, performance management, and training support. - Facilitate resolution of employee relations issues in alignment with cultural expectations; provide consultancy service to leaders on employee relation matters including discipline and discharge, harassment and discrimination complaint investigations, and safety reporting policies. This may include participation in investigations and consulting with leaders on how to investigate. - Manages projects to support various HR-related and cross functional projects, including development and implementation of company-wide people programs, ensuring that change management best practices are applied. - Consults with the business to apply org design principals and methodologies to maximize org effectiveness. - Champions HR initiatives and proactively maintains an open line of communication with managers and employees on HR service-related issues. - Provides guidance and feedback to assigned leaders regarding people-focused goals, objectives and employee performance. - Creates and executes strategy and sustainable processes to advance employee engagement. Partners with the Director HR, and divisional VP?s to analyze engagement data, communicate survey results effectively, and act to improve engagement, customer satisfaction, and leadership effectiveness. Assists with other HR support as needed, such as recruiting, employee relations, etc. - Determines best approach to increase leader effectiveness and management skills through development, implementation and facilitation of leaders learning sessions, training, and communication. - Provides compensation support including salary planning, approval of salary actions and promotions. - Liaises with hiring managers and the recruitment department to ensure effective workforce planning, timely hiring and compliance. - Partners with other internal HR departments to find solutions, create a great place to work, and to provide a hassle-free and world-class experience to internal clients, employees, candidates, and other stakeholders. Job-Specific Skills Experience & Education Required - 4 years of Human Resources or relevant leadership experience. In depth experience in other HR functional areas (generalist, employee relations, recruiting, etc.) is a plus. - Bachelor?s degree in Human Resources or a related field, or an additional two years of training/experience in lieu of this degree. - General knowledge of performance management, employee practices, compensation, benefits and rewards. - A proven ability to work independently and to prioritize competing priorities. - Demonstrated ability to think conceptually, influence stakeholders, and develop strategies. - High energy, positive presence and advanced written and verbal communication skills. - Innovative, apolitical, resilient, fact-based, and a creative solutions-focused mindset, with ability to thrive in a rapidly-changing, collaborative environment and to manage conflict. - Demonstrated ability to seek out and incorporate feedback from all levels of the organization. - Experience designing and managing complex processes, as well as managing projects. - Proven ability to leverage business acumen and analytic capability to position the HR organization as a change agent and key business partner. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other Microsoft products as well as common HR applications. - Able to travel, as appropriate Preferred - A minimum of 2 years employee relations/investigation experience - PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification. - Compensation knowledge or experience. - Experience with change management. - Knowledge of employment law.
