About You

You effectively work with others by developing trust and respect in order to achieve agreed goals. You implement change by looking for opportunities to make improvement in the way of work. You have the ability to plan, implement and monitor the planned actions. 

 

What’s more, we believe that you have the following knowledge, capabilities and motivation:

  • Live and share the IKEA values every day
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years’ logistics, warehouse or supply chain experience in supervisory level
  • Experience in Retail industry preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal English
  • Understanding of all WMS functions

 

About the Role

You coordinate the goods flow operation in receiving goods and replenishment before store opening and to optimize out flow routines after store opening to provide the highest possible service levels to IKEA customers.

 

Key Specific Accountabilities:

  • Maintain efficiency in all areas where stocks are transported while receiving to ensure a safe and secure process.

  • Organize the goods flow pipeline from receiving to the sales location.

  • Develop a working knowledge of the product range and services

  • Ensure efficient warehousing activities adhering to the inventory control procedures

  • Ensure 100 % checking of replenishment goods (physical vs. document)

  • Accurate reporting of discrepancies to the warehouse group leader and inventory control team for accurate goods receiving on the system

  • Prepare and check of all outbound shipments from the store to all sites

  • Ensure the accurate releasing of home deliveries to the delivery and assembly teams

  • Submit all relevant information of the store goods flow for internal replenishments to the inventory control team for updating the system.

  • Ensure adherence by all warehouse assistants of the safety and security routines as per the standard operating procedures of the store

  • Ensure consistent interaction, feedback and development with the warehouse team and sales teams to improve direct flow in the store thru accurate sales space capacity inputs

  • Ensure that no local – local shortages exist in the store

  • Ensure the highest service levels at all times for the customers

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area following the inventory control, recovery and waste management guidelines.

  • Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects as they are delegated.
