This job is a member of the Corporate Affairs Team within the Corporate Affairs Division.They will be responsible for guarding against unauthorized persons or materials entering Company facilities, protecting company grounds, property, employees, clients, vendors and guests.  Also monitors company premises to ensure security and deter damage to or loss of company and employee property.

What you'll do

• ​Controls access to the buildings by visually verifying that only those personnel wearing identification badges are permitted access beyond the building reception area 
• Ensures that visitors are logged-in and are provided escorts
• Observes departing personnel and visitors to guard against theft of Company property
• Makes periodic internal and external security checks either on foot or using company provided vehicles
• Checks parking facilities for unauthorized vehicles and trespassers
• Responds to emergency incidents and security requests.
• Contacts appropriate internal personnel and external agencies including police, fire or paramedics, in the event of and emergency
• Completes logs and reports of daily activities
• Ability to work varied hours, including nights and weekends
• Ability to perform in a fast paced environment while maintaining and professional approach to high stress situations

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• ​High school diploma or GED equivalency
• Possesses a valid driver's license

 

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• ​Previous law enforcement, military or security experience
• Previous experience in Customer Service 

 

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

• Maintains the highest regard for confidentiality and professionalism
• Excellent understanding of Company and Corporate security policies and procedures
• Ability to perform in a fast paced environment while maintaining a professional and effective approach to high-stress situations
• Demonstrates solid leadership and decision making skills
• Ability to work varied hours, including nights, weekends and holidays to work varied hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
• Ability to pass TSA background and security checks to obtain an airport SIDA badge
