• ​This job is a member of the Information Technology Team within the Information Technology Division.
• Responsible for both traditional and cloud based infrastructure implementations based on designs from infrastructure architects.

What you'll do

• Interface effectively with management including business and technical teams
• Oversee administration, installation and configuration of IBM Web Sphere MQ product
• Work with Message Oriented Middle ware products
• Work with teams of people of vastly different skill and experience levels
• Architect and design messaging trends in the cloud
• Perform installation & configuration of open source messaging products like RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ or Kafka
• Review application code and troubleshoot application connectivity issues
• Work with an application development team in an agile software development environment
• On call rotational schedule for off hours support

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
• 5 years of experience with IBM Web Sphere MQ
• 5 years of experience writing and reviewing complex technical documents, specifications, and requirements
• Experience in administration, installation and configuration of IBM Web Sphere MQ product
• Experience in IT, working with Message Oriented Middle ware products

 

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
• 5+ years of experience as a network or infrastructure engineer or administrator

 

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

• High Availability using Veritas Cluster Server
• Architect MQ infrastructure on Sun Sparc using LDOM's
• MQ Clustering
• MQ Pub / Sub
• Hands on experience with MQ 7.5 /  8.0
• Security using LDAP / SSL / Channel Auths
• Capacity Planning and Performance Tuning
• Monitoring and management.
• Specification of implementation instructions, monitoring requirements, network hardware requirements, application-modification instructions.
• Providing leadership in the areas of standardization and best practices
