ROLE PURPOSE:
The Account Executive ICM is responsible for working closely with the accounting team to provide support to finance manager in managing ICM clearance & reconciliations, AR clearing, petty cash and cash clearing activities and controlling.
KEY ROLE SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES: Specify the output required from the role. It is recommended to identify not more than 6-8 key tasks and their performance indicators. NB – Focus on outcomes not tasks.
Description of the Tasks:
Intercompany Management
- ICM accounting and acceptance of IC charges
- Monthly IC ageing report and action plan
- Co-ordination with retail finance for ICM
- Intra company ICM clearance
- Reconciliation of Intercompany and Intra company vendors/customers
Other Task
- REFX accounting and reconciliation for all countries
- Prepayment Schedule of Rent
- Schedule of Deposit and tracking
- Support rent payment schedule
- Government Payments (Electricity and Telecom) – all locations
- Petty cash and repair payments to stores
- Monthly BPC upload for all countries
- Weekly inventory report to Head office
- Support P&C for physical verification of assets
- Co-ordinate with Region Admin and Treasury for new store opening
MIS and Reporting
- Monthly IC AP ageing and reconciliation
- Monthly IC AR ageing and reconciliation
- Daily DSR report and sales & margin recon (BI vs SAP)
- Monthly Sales reporting to Landlord
- AUP audit
- DSR upload to EIT
- Cash Clearing
- Damage reporting and reason code investigation
Internal Controls and Policies
- Working with compliance team to ensure implementation of finance related SOPs
- Work with Rebex and APSSC team to action on vendor query
- Co-ordinate with buying team to control vendor issues
Support Control manager in managing IC transactions (payable and receivable) within
- group with monthly balance confirmations
- Make sure rebate module is 100% complied and auditable
Audits and SOP’s
- Coordinating all Al Futtaim group Internal Audit
- Coordinating external audits for the brand
- Co-ordinate with Rebex and external audit to get Revenue audit done on timely manner
Customer Service
- Ensure that the finance department delivers timely and qualitative information to all departments on all aspects of the business
- Coordinate with Retail SSF teams on vendors queries and payment issues
PERSON SPECIFIC:
Education:
Degree in Business Administration/ Accounting/ Finance (or any other related fields)
Minimum Experience and Knowledge:
Minimum 3 years of experience working as Accounts Executives/Accounts Assistant in any reputable organization. Experience of retail accounting is an advantage.
Job-Specific/Technical Skills required to complete the tasks:
Working knowledge of excel and MS office packages, knowledge of accounting software package preferably ERP such as SAP. Knowledge of BPC is an advantage.
