Job Description:
- Undertake site visits and prepare site visits reports pertaining to civil, MEP, FF&FA, HVAC, FF&E services.
- Attend design team meetings and advice regarding building control work.
- Conduct quantity surveys and takeoffs for new projects, renovations and existing facilities.
- Conduct surveys to rectify as-built drawings of existing facilities – for all services (Civil, HVAC & MEP).
- Conduct condition surveys for the building envelope and infrastructure in liaison with the FM Engineer.
- Prepares contract assets list as per the conduction surveys conducted
- Carry out all quantity surveying duties, i.e. preparation of cost estimates, interim valuations, and valuation of variations and approval of final contractor BOQs.
- Carry out, as directed, an inspection of properties to evaluate and report on maintenance needs, including maintaining an up to date database for the company.
- Assess authority regulation requirements from ADM, DM, DEWA, ADDC, DCD, ADCD as necessary
- Conducts acquisition surveys for new properties.
- Prepares the schedule of conditions for all projects contracts.
- Oversee and supervise interior fit-out and renovation projects.
- Prepares schedules of work.
- Prepares technical and executive presentations.
- Other building surveying services as may reasonably be identified.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
Relevant Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the surveying of built structures (corporate offices, premium hospitality projects, high-end commercial or mixed-use properties).
Technical Knowledge/ Skills/ Training required:
- Should be proficient in AutoCAD (Civil & MEP). RICS membership will be preferred. Should be at least conversant with RICS standards and best practices.
- Good communication skill with the ability to compose and explain complex issues concisely to different audiences.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent team working skills, motivated and productive attitude.
- Computer literate. Proficient in AutoCAD/Revit. Should be familiar with BIM.
- Ability to prioritize and undertake a range of tasks with a positive, flexible attitude and willingness to learn.
- Valid UAE driving license.
