Taking on each day knowing we're part of something remarkable. **YOUR ROLE** The Aircraft Records Clerk reports to the Manager of Aircraft Records and is responsible to maintain an adequate and accurate records system of maintenance and inspection work performed on aircraft operated by Horizon Air. This position is also responsible for data entry processes that provide information to the Maintenance Division for various reports and trend monitoring. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Reviews the documentation completed by the Maintenance and Inspection Departments which relates to work performed on the aircraft and/or the various maintenance shops. The review of these documents ensures that proper sign off of work performed has been accomplished and that referenced supporting documentation has been received. - Reviews all Engineering Controls which have been updated in the time controlled computer tracking system for all maintenance tasks and component replacements performed on company aircraft. - Files all completed maintenance paperwork, i.e., log pages, serviceable tags, shop packages, out of phase inspection items, etc. - Enters Non-Routine data into the computer tracking system for Line maintenance stations. - Performs research and processes the necessary corrections related to findings that are produced by the internal records department audit staff. - Ensures proper updates of items appearing on the reports and ensures appropriate documentation has arrived from maintenance on these items. Contacts the department manager immediately with items that cannot be resolved in a timely fashion or items of a regulatory nature. - Monitors the arrival of maintenance paperwork from the various outstations. - Files Vendor Certification documents. Processes and files serviceable component tags. - Provides assistance to the department manager on projects related to aircraft departures from the company. - Adheres to procedures and processes as outlined in the Department Internal Procedures manual. - Participates actively in department and company training classes. - Assists with training other staff members as assigned by the department manager. - Issues paperwork discrepancies to Aircraft Technicians when errors are discovered upon paperwork review. Monitors the return of outstanding discrepancies and files corrected items upon return. - Responsible for processing all major assembly shop packages and ensuring all major assemblies have been processed correctly by Aircraft Technicians in TRAX. - Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: - College degree preferred - 1 to 2 years of experience with Aircraft Records preferred - Prior experience with company manuals is preferred - Working knowledge of the functions performed within the Aircraft Technical Records Department, the Maintenance Planning Department, the Maintenance Engineering Department, and the Maintenance Programs Department - General knowledge / understanding of TRAX computer system preferred - Knowledge and understanding of 14 CFR 121.380 and 121.380(a) preferred - Knowledge and understanding of the Aircraft Records Department Internal Procedures Manual preferred - Must have excellent oral and written communication skills - Strong attention to detail and proven ability to problem solve - High school diploma or equivalent - Minimum age of 18 - Authorization to work in the U.S. **START YOUR NEW JOURNEY NOW** Submit your application by 02/12/2020 11:59pm (Pacific Time).
