Taking on each day knowing we're part of something remarkable. **YOUR ROLE** Role Summary The Manager, SEA and Outstation Line Maintenance (MTX) provides guidance for daily and long-range Line Maintenance operational requirements and ensures compliance with all governing Federal, local, and Horizon Air (QX) regulations affecting operations at assigned station and outstations. Scope & Complexity This leadership role manages line maintenance activities for Horizon Air. This role forecasts and budgets operational needs and personnel requirements. Key Duties - Provides guidance for daily and long-range Line Maintenance operational requirements and ensures compliance with all governing Federal, local, and AS regulations affecting operations at assigned station and outstations. - Provides technical direction and assumes technical responsibility for maintenance work accomplished by mechanics or by outside agencies/vendors. - Forecasts and budgets operational needs and personnel requirements. - Evaluates processes, procedures, and equipment changes. - Creates clear channels of communication to ensure all staff is well informed about departmental and company issues and decisions. - Provides leadership and direction to ensure high standards of performance are maintained in the areas of safety, cost, quality, and labor relations. - Establishes and implements policies and procedures to ensure continued improvement. - Determines work priorities and ensures timely accomplishment of all maintenance functions. - Reviews and evaluates employee performance. - Provides a safe work environment and ensures safety rules and regulations are enforced and develops safety awareness in all assigned personnel. - Performs other duties as assigned. Job-Specific Skills & Education Required - A minimum of 3 years in a people leadership position, preferably at a commercial airline. - A minimum of 5 years' commercial airline experience. - Hold an Airframe and Powerplant license for at least 7 years and meets the recent experience requirements of 14 CFR 65.83 (six months experience in the last 24). - Extensive experience in budgeting, aircraft reliability, and production. - Strong track record effectively managing teams and experience developing and mentoring employees through engagement. - Flexibility to travel (approximately 30% of the time). Excellent interpersonal and communication (e.g., verbal, written, and listening) skills. - Detailed oriented and highly organized, with ability to multi-task and work independently with limited guidance in a fast-paced environment. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). - High school diploma or equivalent is required. - Minimum age of 18. - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred - Line maintenance experience on Bombardier Q400, Embraer E175 or similar aircraft. - A Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree or technical training.
