Taking on each day knowing we're part of something remarkable. **YOUR ROLE** Role Summary The Senior Strategic Resource Planning Program Manager is responsible for defining the long-term strategy for workforce planning to predict the hiring demand of Horizon's operational divisions, while ensuring there is a pipeline of talent to fill the demand and developing future career pathways between Horizon Air and Alaska Airlines. As the sole subject matter expert and thought leader, this role establishes strategic goals and direction to a cross functional team to develop and execute short-term and long-term staffing plans using planning foresight to predict how trends and current events will affect the future growth and stability of Horizon's operational divisions. Key Duties - Establishes strategic goals and direction to a cross functional team to ensure Horizon's operational divisions have a long-term staffing plan and a pool of talent available to fill it. - Sets long-term strategy for work force planning at Horizon Air. - Develops, leads and executes the development and implementation of the division's strategic long-term and short-term staffing plans. - Advises and partners with divisional leadership and regional schools (pilot, A&P, vocational, etc) to ensure there is a reliable and solid pipeline of talent to fill key operational roles. - Develops and administers pathway programs that ensure growth and future career opportunities between Horizon Air and Alaska Airlines. - Develops and updates a total compensation model that benchmarks Horizon front-line employee compensation against other regional airlines. - Influences company culture through action, presence, and reinforcement of behaviors. - Keeps current on emerging trends in the industry that could affect future staffing levels and designs and implements innovative solutions that ensures Horizon remains competitive. - Drives efficient and accurate use of front-line employees including partnering with the Training, Recruiting and Commercial departments to improve planning and processes. - Oversee the development, implementation and maintenance of technology solutions (hardware and software) to support resource and leadership strategies. - Ensures effective and efficient long-term strategic scheduling. - Conducts regular analysis and reviews of department planning capabilities. - Assists division's negotiation team with contract negotiations. Job-Specific Skills, Experience & Education Required - 10 years of business management, financial analysis or planning experience. - A Bachelor degree with a focus in business management, business administration, aviation management or a related field, or an additional two years of training/experience in lieu of this degree. - High energy, positive, and executive-level presence, along with top-notch written and verbal communication, public speaking, influencing, and motivational skills. - Proven ability to leverage business acumen, analytic and critical thinking capability to position the organization as a critical business partner. - Skilled at making and defending tough decisions, while demonstrating care and concern for the opinions of others, both inside and outside the organization. - Demonstrated ability to influence change and initiate actions that have strategic impact and drive a high-performance culture. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), with demonstrated effectiveness in the design and analytical use of Excel spreadsheets, and query and reporting tools such as Brio, Toad, and Tableau. - Proficiency in various statistical and machine learning concepts used in forecasting and planning. Preferred - Master of Business Administration, or masters level degree in Finance, Accounting or similar. - Business planning/analysis experience. - Experience implementing, negotiating or managing union contracts.
