- This job is a member of the Credit Union Team within the American Airlines Credit Union.
- Responsible for the continuing development of the American Airlines Credit Union’s warehouse database and processes used to store and analyze member, operational and lending data.
- Assesses, designs, develops and implements prioritized data warehouse enhancements, including integrating data from many systems into the data warehouse, developing new reports, etc.
- Builds and maintains the logical, conceptual and physical data models for the data warehouse
- Develops mappings of source data to data warehouse models
- Maintains the data warehouse metadata documentation and associated data repositories
- Provides on-going maintenance and support for data warehousing activities
- Works with business unit analysts throughout the credit union, and senior management, to analyze and leverage information in the data warehouse to make decisions
- Creates standards for data extracts, analysis, reports, change management process, etc.
- Develops reporting and analysis solutions that meet business unit needs
- Looks for synergies and opportunities to drive change by improving processes, such as reducing duplication and scheduling reports
- Creates management dashboards for presenting data analysis/trends
- Provides continuous employee training, education and communication about the data warehouse, to maximize employee understanding and usage
- Manages external third party sources of data
- Works with the business units and third party vendors to validate data integrated into the data warehouse, reports, etc.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time while operating a computer
- Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance
- Ensures the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field to the job duties
- Experience working in a BI environment with MS SQL Server BI Tools (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS)
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and best practices (Kimball methodologies) including dimensional modeling and ETL architecture
- Experience in SQL script development preferably in an MS SQL Server environment
- Experience in SSIS process development and implementation
- Experience of BI SDLC development methodologies
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software
- Knowledge of Credit Union products, systems and current databases
- Skilled in change management toolsets
- Ability to demonstrate strong analytical skills with capacity for attention to detail
- Ability to demonstrate solid interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to be change-oriented and sell the benefits of change
- Skilled in the ability to be innovative, inquisitive detail oriented and a problem solver
- Ability to pass applicable American Airlines pre-hire compliance checks
- Must have an acceptable credit history, which will be verified
