Every day, we go beyond what's expected and reach for the remarkable, together. **YOUR ROLE** Role Summary This role is responsible for executing on the strategy for our Production Operations team at Alaska & Horizon Airlines. As a people leader, the Production Operations Manager leads and establishes priorities for the team to insure reliable operations for all our critical applications. This Manager creates the strategic vision for our proactive and reactive troubleshooting practices, defines our operations and process framework, and effectively partners with internal and external business partners to focus on operational stability and minimize business impact. Key Duties - Develops and executes strategy for all enterprise IT systems to meet or exceed critical applications availability and disaster recovery objectives. - Develops a high performing team with the skills needed to deliver high quality projects, systems, monitoring, and tier 2 technical support. - Develops and maintains KPIs and metrics to measure success and quantify business impact. - Provides daily oversight and management of resource scheduling, on-call schedules and project assignments, and vendor/managed services partnerships. - Influences other ITS and E-commerce teams to improve communications, system support, and application availability. - Develops standard operating procedures based on ITIL best practices. - Manages vendor relationships ensuring highest quality and reasonable costs. - Ensures IT deployments/changes are coordinated and communicated. - Communicate company, industry, and department news to staff and recognizes and rewards their successes, small and large. - Writes business cases and divisional attachments. - Ensures operational compliance with all security, privacy, audit, disaster recovery, and other company requirements. - Supports regulatory audit requirements. - Develops people through effective performance management and ongoing feedback, focusing on delegation for stretch assignments, growing and developing the team for capacity and growth, looking at performance across the team, and time management. - Shapes culture of team through action, presence, and reinforcement of behaviors. Job-Specific Skills, Experience & Education Required - 5 years of IT experience - 2 years of experience leading technical IT teams - Bachelor's degree, preferably with a focus in computer science, engineering, information systems, or an additional two years of training/experience in lieu of this degree - Experience with ITIL standards and best practices - Proven ability to successfully manage multiple vendors including oversight and governance - Experience with enterprise monitoring, including application performance management - Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and lead high severity outage remediation efforts Preferred - Manages and has the capability to lead medium and large-scale projects - Experience in runbook creation and automation - Inspirational and motivated leader that promotes the Alaska values - Proven ability to manage medium and large, complex, projects - Proven technical knowledge of application designs and architectures - Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and customer service skills - Proven ability to work effectively in stressful work environments - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Expertise coaching and mentoring technical engineering teams - Experience with event correlation - Experience with Windows and Linux based operating environments - Experience with multi-cloud environments - Experience with the latest compute, storage, automation, and network tools Job-Specific Leadership Expectations - Embody our values to own safety, do the right thing, be kind-hearted, deliver performance, and be remarkable **EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY** Horizon Air and Alaska Airlines are equal opportunity employers.
