Every day, we go beyond what's expected and reach for the remarkable, together. **YOUR ROLE** Role Summary As a key strategic role in the company's long-term plan, this role leads our effort to become a leader in digital merchandising by investing in channel, funnel and product optimization. This role sets the long-term strategy and roadmap for implementing these capabilities, including foundational, and identifying key metrics to help measure success. This role, in partnership with the Commercial organization, E-commerce and third-party providers, will drive the strategy and improve our digital experiences to dynamically present our products and offers at the right time throughout the guest journey and personalize the experience for each guest. With detailed knowledge of new trends and customer insights, this role will pave the way for Alaska to innovate within the travel industry. Key Duties - Define the long-term strategy to grow our channels and produce the highest predicted margins; deploy solutions and produce analyses demonstrating their impact; and influence best outcomes across the company and industry. - Own and drive merchandising from a guest-centric viewpoint, applying expertise to the development, execution, and approach of methodologies to improve customer experience and conversion. - Research and evaluate existing merchandising practices, design and implement innovative solutions to complex problems, and present recommendations to improve outcomes and achieve operational efficiencies. - Optimize channel management and prioritize resources to grow highest margin channels. - Lead and advise on the investigation, roll-out, and testing of various approaches to increase average margin per channel visitor. - Partner with Marketing to gain a full understanding of all content (email, social, display, search, digital integrations, etc.) potentially driving traffic back to our own domain. Merchandise landing pages in a manner that supports the various marketing mediums while keeping the profitability of the e-commerce channel top of mind. - Collaborate with cross functional teams to build merchandising and distribution roadmaps. - Rigorously track and report on all program KPIs to ensure profitability goals are being met/surpassed. - Stay abreast of digital marketing trends and industry updates Job-Specific Skills, Experience & Education Required - 10+ years of experience in ecommerce marketing and online merchandising, preferably for B2C web and mobile properties with an emphasis on name brand travel or retail sectors - Bachelor's degree with a focus in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or related field; additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree - Proven experience with developing and executing online merchandising strategies designed for web and mobile platforms to drive engagement and conversion - Demonstrated ability to inspire without authority and drive change in an environment ripe for disruption - Strong quantitative/analytical, leadership, and organizational skills - Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities under aggressive deadlines with minimal supervision, including complex multi-divisional stakeholder initiatives. - Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to make clear and concise presentations to senior management and external organizations. - Highly proficient PC skills including advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point - High school diploma or equivalent. - Minimum age of 18. - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred - Airline industry experience Job-Specific Leadership Expectations - Embody our values to own safety, do the right thing, be kind-hearted, deliver performance, and be remarkable. **EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY** Horizon Air and Alaska Airlines are equal opportunity employers.
