JOB PURPOSE

AFTECH is looking for a System Engineer to provide technical expertise in respective domain and Level 2/ Level 3 operational support for core IT Infrastructure within agreed business service levels for our customers and internal infrastructure. Candidate will be required to work on Servers and storage devices of multiple vendors and should have expertise in various operating systems.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Server /Storage Infra

• Plan, configure and oversee the implementation of the server infrastructure in co-ordination with customers, principals and business partners to ensure implementation meets design parameters.
• <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Providing post-sales support to customers.
• <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Troubleshoot and provide solution in a timely manner for complex multi-vendor infrastructure.
• <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Provide support for project implementation & documentation.
• <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Training to customers on system usage.
• <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Prioritizing workload to maximize productivity and minimize customer downtime.
• <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Provide Tier 3 & 4 support and maintain Al Futtaim Group’s Complex Network Infrastructure.
• <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Manage critical and high impact network incidents
• <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Perform analysis of network infrastructure and contribute towards design, integration and enhancements.
• <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Work with cross-functional teams to identify risks and issues, create plans to mitigate and resolve them.
• <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Act as technical liaison with vendors to resolve issues within prescribed SLAs
• <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Participate in IT infrastructure projects and perform other duties as assigned.
• <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Develop documentation and knowledge base for issues and remediation steps for Tier 1&2 support teams.
• <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Ensure proper case handling and provide coaching and training as necessary.
• <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, strong conceptual and analytical skills along-with ability to work as an effective team member.
• <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Remains highly informed on industry best practices applicable to the responsibilities of this position.
• <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Good Understanding of Cloud Network Infrastructure (Azure, AWS)

 

Service Management

• Resolve assigned Incidents and Service requests to be resolved within agreed SLA’s
• <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Timely Escalation of Incidents to L3 for faster resolution.
• <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Liaise with vendors and service providers to resolve reported cases
• <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Assist cross functional team for speedy resolution of Incidents

 

Continuous Improvement Initiative 

• Identify systems which are nearing end of life and refresh in phased manner
• <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Identify system improvement initiatives contributing to CIS org initiatives positively impacting AFET customers and the organization

 

JOB CONTEXT

We are looking for a talented Server storage expert trained on certified on multiple vendors’ products. Microsoft certifications is must. Working knowledge of Linux and databases is required.
