  • This job is a member of the Information Technology Hardware Team, within the Information Technology Division.
  • This position is responsible for assisting in all facets of end-user computing, with a primary focus on hardware break/fix, maintenance and repair. This role includes, but not limited to software/hardware installs, upgrades, repair and overall maintenance of End-User hardware and peripherals.
What you'll do
  • Resolves and closes tickets/work orders supporting end-user desktops and peripherals
  • Responds to customer support issues escalated from the Helpdesk and/or Field Technician
  • Responds to hardware requests escalated from the Technology Distribution Center
  • Contributes to desktop projects as a project team member
  • Remotely diagnoses and resolves requests utilizing remote tools
  • Troubleshoots and collaborates with other departments to assist with infrastructure related issues
  • Documents customer interactions in incident management system including asset management
  • Recovers data from hard disk drives and/or perform data migration
  • Supports remote access for connectivity of hardware product that support wireless and broadband connectivity
  • Escalation point of contact and Subject Matter Expert for printer/plotter configuration and repair
  • Escalation point of contact and Subject Matter Expert for end user hardware repair
  • Performs preventative maintenance of hardware and hardware peripherals
  • Work scheduled shift as required
What you'll do (continued)
  • Travels, as required
  • Support TDC warehouse inventory demand to meet hardware requests for projects or break/fix efforts.
  • Perform accurate data entry to support Asset Management
  • Maintains consistent working relationship with internal customers, vendors, IT Procurement and Supply Chain Inventory Teams
  • Manage and maintain warranty break/fix and repair, to include RMA’s (return/replacement merchandise authorization) for OTBF issues.
All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Associate / Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience/training
  • 3 years of demonstrable ‘hands-on’ IT work experience supporting, repairing and resolving diverse PC desktop software and hardware issues
  • Must have firsthand experience supporting desktop computers in a Windows/TCPIP environment

 

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • A+ certification
  • MCSE/MCP is a plus
  • Previous IT infrastructure experience in Airline/Airport environment

 

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Overall knowledge of all Windows based operating systems including Windows 7
  • Familiarity with workflow and with ticketing systems
  • Knowledge of VPN connectivity and ability to troubleshoot issues
  • Ability to work independently and perform in a collaborative, team based environment
  • Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs
