This job is a member of the Payments & Digital Strategy team at American Airlines Credit Union. Responsible for the performance and management of our digital banking platform, digital banking related member experiences, digital product roadmap, as well as analysis and reporting for all digital banking functions managed through the Payments department.

What you'll do

  • Works with the entire Payments department leadership team to define and achieve strategic objectives and execute analysis and project implementations as they are required
  • Ensures digital banking related ticketing queues are effectively managed, and individual tickets are resolved in the most effective manner through coordinating internally and with each respective 3rd party business partner to minimize member impact
  • Develops reporting and analysis required to effectively understand how the digital banking channel is performing, and working with the Payments Leadership team, other cross-divisional stakeholders, and 3rd party business partners to develop and generate other reporting, including but not limited to Board Book packages
  • Develops business plan/budgeting processes, variance explanations, and other related functions associated with the products they own
  • Identifies all possible sources of data across different systems and works with the team to mine the data and derive relevant meaning to support strategic objectives, marketing plans and other growth initiatives
  • Provides effective product and vendor management
  • Ensures the online banking channel is designed with the right functionality and features to move our business forward and support the strategic objectives of the credit union
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Ensures the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum three years of work experience relevant to the nature of the described job duties; a Bachelor’s degree may be considered in lieu of two years of the required work experience
  • Experience with project management and/or project implementation


Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Management or a related field
  • Experience in the payments industry, specifically with the digital channel and digital banking platforms the credit union uses
  • Experience with credit, debit or both card types
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software
  • Knowledge of Symitar software and other Jack Henry software suites, modeling software (i.e. Monarch) and additional database management software
  • Ability to understand AACU’s culture, vision and mission and be able to integrate them into departmental standards
  • Ability to lead management, non-management and contract personnel and appropriately execute budgetary responsibilities within span of control
  • Ability to demonstrate superior people management and employee engagement skills, to include directing, coaching, counseling and motivating staff
  • Ability to supervise multiple staff personnel
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent oral and written communications skills along with the ability to present information effectively to all levels of Credit Union staff and members
  • Ability to demonstrate strong time management, project management and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks that may involve competing priorities
  • Ability to demonstrate strong analytical/problem-solving and consensus-building skills that translate into leading, developing and motivating employees from all facets of the organization
  • Ability to demonstrate superior research, analysis and business writing and reporting skills
  • Ability to apply knowledge and experience to long term tactical projects within and outside core work group
  • Ability to collaborate successfully with people of varying backgrounds and levels and securing inter-and intra-departmental cooperation and buy-in
  • Ability to recommend and implement strategic initiatives within the organization
  • Ability to work varying schedules, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to travel overnight
  • Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance
  • Ability to pass applicable American Airlines pre-hire compliance checks
  • Must have an acceptable credit history, which will be verified
