Marine Sales Engineer | FAMCO | Dubai

About the Position:

We currently looking to recruit an experienced Marine Sales Engineer for our FAMCO Marine and Power Product Division in Dubai. Reporting to the National Sales  Manager, you will develop the business for units’ sales products including competition and services to new and existing end users / customers and to increase the connectivity.

 

Specifically, your key responsibilities are as follows:

  • To develop the business for units’ sales & other for Marine and genset business including competition sales to new and existing end users / customers and to increase the connectivity with customers within UAE.
  • To provide estimate and planning for ongoing projects and expected unit sales movement
  • Provide data and feedback to the FAMCO units product and inventory management team on competitors, general and specific market prices, units availability and requirements (old and new) to assist in fine tuning inventory stocking profile.
  • Manage and advise on the provision of credit facilities for new and existing customers and monitor the collection of receivables for unit sales within UAE.
  • Carry out prospecting and conversion activity for existing customers & not using FAMCO units.
  • Provide up to-date competitive data from the field on existing and competitor installations through customer mapping in order to develop and enhance the FAMCO CRM database.
  • To provide accurate monthly and quarterly forecast of sales.

 

About You:

The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications, knowledge and skills:

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

Either a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering with good knowledge of sales within Marine business. Incumbent needs to have knowledge of electrical, control systems, diesel engines & marine installations and PC skills.

 

Minimum Experience:

Competent with min 5 year’s minimum experience, Mechanical installation, Vibration Analysis, System control installation and operation.

 

Job-Specific Skills:

Customer handling and relationship building, Hands on experience in handling market activities for engines / generators or any capital equipment, Ability to create or identify need for market products using scientific tools  / methods as a consultant, Ability to work with teams, high level of communication skills and technical acumen with the ability to learn new products technical changes to specifications & product features, benefits and innovations.

 

Behavioral Competencies:

Calm, confident and capable of responding to urgent technical and sales requests. High degree of motivation to exceed customer satisfaction expectation levels. Ability to communicate easily with internal and external customers, open and honest and takes ownership to solve issues, responsible and has cultural awareness and empathy, should be flexible and demonstrate sound work ethics.
