ROLE PURPOSE:
Plan, direct and monitor the audit activities of a team of audit professionals to minimise risk; recommend improvements to the Controls & Governance of the organisation’s financial, operational and managerial processes and IT systems; and provide reasonable assurance that the organisation complies with established company policies and procedures. Assists the line manager by performing consulting and advisory services as required by Senior audit management.
Resources required to achieve accountability
Direct Reports:
Senior Operational/Financial Auditors and/ or Operational/Financial Asst. Manager/Supervisor between 4 -10 resources. An Operational/Financial Audit Manager could also be reporting to this role.
Financial Dimensions:
The Operational and Financial Audits of Al Futtaim Group of Companies, both fully owned and partly owned in UAE and overseas for the specific segment / vertical/territories to which the job holder is assigned.
KEY ROLE SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Development of an audit plan
- Execution and Management of Audit Plan
- Management of Internal Audit Team.
- IPPF- Adherence to IPPF in the internal audit function.
- Internal Audit Delivery and reporting
- Carrying out special assignments relating to Internal Audit
- Assisting /Supporting the Line Manager
PERSON SPECIFIC:
Education:
- BA in Accountancy or equivalent
- CPA, CA or ACCA professional qualifications
Minimum Experience and Knowledge:
- 10+ year of experience working within operational and financial audit
- Minimum 3/5 years of management experience
- Must have real estate industry experience with a solid understanding of real estate development
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong business acumen with the ability to communicate business complexities to senior stakeholders
- Arabic speaker preferred
