We are currently hiring an experienced School IT Support technician for Deira International School, Festival City, Dubai. This appointments is for ASAP.

 

The position reports to the School IT Manager.

The curriculum is based upon the English National Curriculum covering a diverse range of subjects.  Our personalised, play-based and continuous provision in the Early Years ensures that students are rigorously assessed against the prime and specific areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. This focuses on developing key learning skills and the foundations for accessing the Primary Curriculum.  In primary, students receive an enriching and broad curriculum offer, which includes the delivery of several non-core subjects. Our senior students take the IGCSE examinations in Year 11 and move into the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) or International Baccalaureate Career-Related Programme (IBCP) in Years 12 and 13. The Post: IT Support Technician

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and facilitating the use of IT equipment and applications by school members. Deira International School mainly uses Microsoft 365 Suite with Apple ecosystem at the School.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, mobile devices, software, and hardware
• Monitor and maintain daily performance of computer systems and networks
• Diagnose hardware and software issues and walk staff through problem-solving process
• Install, modify, and repair or replace computer hardware and software
• Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems
• Support student internal assessment by ensuring the assessment applications run smoothly on the ipad devices
• Support for any additional IT services required after the school hours

 

Qualifications/Skills

• Minimum Diploma and above in Information Technology or the equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working within a school or other education environment
• Ability to prioritize work under pressure
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills at all levels
• Be able to provide support and guidance to staff/Students at all levels across the school community.
• Ability to deal with confidential information with sensitivity and discretion
• An independent Team-player who can work with minimal supervision.
