  • This job is a member of the Maintenance Planning Team within the Integrated Operations Division.
  • This position will be responsible supporting the DEI engagement education and leadership needs of the Maintenance Planning organization.

What you'll do

  • Assists a variety of team members from Technical Operations with resolving application issues, business processes, reporting and documenting software defects, and sharing best practices
  • Learns all facets of Maintenance Planning including cross-training into additional roles to help the team as necessary
  • Support creation and delivery of New Hire/Recurrent training programs for Routing and Planning departments
    • Instructor lead classes
    • Web based class materials
    • Train the Trainer programs
  • Support the leadership development needs of Maintenance Planning leaders and emerging leaders
  • Coordinate Maintenance Planning’s DEI activities with DEI Council
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned in order to achieve department and company goals
  • Must be willing to work all shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and extra hours when necessary

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Aviation or Business or equivalent experience
  • 3 years of related experience

 

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

Previous Airline Industry experience; strong preference for Aircraft Maintenance or Tech Ops background

  • Working knowledge of the American Airlines Operations, e.g. General Procedure Manual
  • Working knowledge American Airlines applications: AMPS, ASOM, FOS, SAFE, SCEPTRE, and TECH SITE X
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and Word

  • Ability to assemble information, extract pertinent facts, draw logical conclusions, and present recommendations
  • Ability to thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment and leverage best practices
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestic and international less than 10%
  • Must be willing to work all shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and extra hours when necessary
