Job Description:

• Plan, organize, execute and supervise all kind of activities relating to mobile plant equipment’s including PMS, repair, brake down at onboard, workshop and external supplier to meet the production demand with in time frame & cost effective manner..
• Control the departments’ activities on a daily basis to ensure that equipment is serviced and repaired within set time schedules. And monitor the weekly and monthly PMS schedule is completing within scheduled time frame and to Liaise with inter dept. supervision and manager for the progress of works and completion Disconnect, dismantle, inspect and overhaul marine hydraulic machineries.
• Effectively ensure that all equipment is brought in for servicing as per the service schedule and liase with departments when required.
• Responsible for the more in depth fault diagnosis on the equipment, using test equipment as required, and solving any discrepancies when found. And Provide technical assistance to the senior foremen and foremen as required
• Ensure have a control of spare parts that are used during repair work and servicing, and ensure that parts are used cost effectively, liaise with procurement, warehouse and material control for the regular flow of spare parts in stock.
• Keep the Asst manager informed of the workshop status on a daily basis, keeping him informed of any critical equipment breakdowns.
• Ensure that all work related paperwork is completed on a timely basis.
• Required to control the overtime and the discipline of the work force when required and to carry out vehicle inspections to ensure equipment being serviced and repaired is to the manufactures and that any failures are raised using the quality reporting systems.
• Produce speed sheets as required for analysis, which includes the monitoring of equipment breakdown frequency rate and to put remedial actions into force.
• Ensure that the Safety, Quality & Environment requirements of the yard are strictly followed.
• Perform other job related duties as assigned by the section head.

Job Requirements:

Education:
Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or equivalent in automobile.

Relevant Experience:
10 Years’ experience in similar field a and minimum 5 years’ experience as Sr. Foreman / Head

Technical Knowledge/ Skills/ Training required:

• Having UAE driving license.
• He must have a fair but firm disposition and be used to working with and controlling a multinational work force.

• Knowledge and Experience in automobile related ship yard equipment’s

• Possess knowledge of MS office and Project Management skills and understand of various equipment’s manual hard and soft copy.

• Ability to develop, interpret and follow method statements and procedures, specifications, drawings, and all other discipline related project and engineering documentation.
