- American Airlines, Inc. is looking for a Senior Developer/Lead to be part of the Airport Automation team, design, implement and support a suite of applications which will be widely used at the airports.
- Responsible for leading application design and development in the customer technology space.
- Plan, design, develop, test, and document computer programs, applying knowledge of programming techniques and computer systems.
- Participate in user story sessions, analysis, design, and implementation, and testing techniques and methodologies.
- Responsible for the design, prototype, and development of applications in the JEE and .NET environment.
- Develop high level and detailed design documentation, system artifacts, flowcharts and diagrams to illustrate system interactions and to describe logical operations involved. Analyze, review, and alter program to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
- Ensure deliverables meet relevant standards and architecture in a team culture of code walk through.
- Hold code reviews with development team members and escalate design/testing/coding/API issues to the architect and Technical PM. Assist with troubleshooting any deployment or environment related issues.
- Research and develop solutions to complex problems or as specified by the functional needs of the system.
- Monitor performance of system after implementation.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with technical teams, vendors, business partners, and management.
- As part of Airport Technology team, responsible for analyzing and integrating different enterprise technologies to fit and optimize business processes at the airports.
- Works closely with business units, project managers, developers, architects, QA engineers, technology providers, vendors, and other application teams to achieve individual project goals.
- Perform detailed study of the functional requirements and evaluate appropriate technologies to satisfy the requirements
- Evaluate the new technologies and present technical solutions to the architecture board for approval
- Tune web and mobile applications for performance. Assess scalability requirements and resolve any potential issues.
- Deploy and tune applications on Tomcat/TC server/Web sphere application servers
- Develop and tune application with JQuery , AngularJS and mobile application performance tuning.
- Develop and tune-in memory cache technologies
- Evaluate applications for PCI security policies.
- Implement applications with Distributed Services, Real Time, Event Driven, Event Bus, Sockets, Messaging and Parsing.
- Design, prototype, and develop of applications in core Java, J2EE and .NET, websphere MQ technologies
- SQL, Java/C++/VB, Batch and PowerShell scripting.
- Build automated scripts using Maven to deploy applications.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related engineering field and 3 years of experience as an analyst or programmer using J2EE technologies, plus demonstrated experience in:
- JEE, core Java, .NET, .NET Compact Framework
- IBM Websphere X.x.; Hibernate ORM framework, Spring framework;
- Implementing Distributed Services, Real Time, Event Driven, Event Bus, Sockets, Messaging
- Measuring, Resolving Performance, Scalability and Concurrency issues on Linux and windows as well as mobile applications.
- Developing, Deploying and tuning applications on Tomcat/TC server/Web sphere application servers
- Developing and tuning applications with JQuery and mobile applications
- Working with In-memory cache solutions
- Working knowledge of deploying application on Azure
- Working knowledge of Azure Security Models
- In depth knowledge of CI/CD frameworks and Azure CI/CD
