Scope & Complexity We want to talk to undergraduate students in their junior year who have accomplished outstanding academic results. The program is designed for a commitment of 40 hours per week for the duration of the 12-week program. When not working, we invite our interns to take advantage of unlimited complimentary space-available travel on Alaska Airlines or Horizon Air... Lunch in San Diego? Weekend in Portland? Maui? Phoenix... Done! Key Duties - Provides analytical support and relevant data to different areas of the company for ad hoc analysis. - Develops the ability to independently analyze large business questions by manipulating data sources to create actionable analysis and/or reporting. - Assists in implementing improvements to processes and reports. - Fosters strong, collaborative working relationships across various business, operational, and technical workgroups. - Begin developing strong technical skills utilizing querying tools (SQL), data manipulation tools (e.g., Alteryx, Excel) and presentation tools (e.g., Tableau, Excel, and PowerPoint). Job-Specific Skills, Experience & Education Required - Internships positions are open to current undergraduate students in their junior year who are enrolled in a full time course of study graduating between December '19 and June '20. - High school diploma or equivalent. - Minimum age of 18. - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. - Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.) - Ability to balance multiple projects and prioritize in a dynamic environment. - Effective communication skills (e.g., verbal, written, and listening). -Ability to work well with others. - A passion for the airline industry and willingness to learn. - Attention to detail and problem-solving skills is critical for this role.
