Taking on each day knowing we're part of something remarkable. **YOUR ROLE** Role Summary: The role of Senior Auditor, Flight Operations Quality Management (FOQM) is to work with the Horizon Flight Operations stakeholders including pilots, flight attendants, and dispatch to independently and objectively assess internal controls governing operational and safety processes. This role will be key in developing standardized dashboards, real time analysis of flight operations data, audit reporting and development of actionable plans to resolve audit findings in order to drive operational excellence. Scope & Complexity: This individual contributor role is responsible for performing internal audits and assisting in the implementation of processes and procedures that will eliminate or control non-compliance to an acceptable level for Horizon Air Industries (QX). Key Duties: - Act as a subject matter expert in auditing and safety assurance requirements for Flight Operations. - With minimal direction from leadership, exercises considerable judgement to make decision and performs departmental self-audits / investigations to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and company requirements. - Develops reports of self-audit & investigation activities; conducts audit out-briefs with divisional stakeholders and provides expertise to assist in the creation and implementation of management action plans in accordance with regulatory and company requirements. - Actively manages findings and management action plans to ensure resolution occurs in a timely manner. - Supports external reviews of company operating divisions by supporting both business and aviation-specific projects such as: regulatory agency audits, Department of Defense (DOD) surveys, International Air Transport Association (IATA) and Operational Safety Audit (IOSA). - Utilizes subject matter expertise to process Pilot Irregularity Reports (PIRs) and communicates identified trends to Flight Operations stakeholders in an efficient and timely manner. - Integral in the development and tracking of department operational performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) & goals; report trends to Company stakeholders. - Collaborates with cross-divisional stakeholders to design and implement a variety of research, analysis and dashboard projects to monitor the compliance health of Flight Operations. - Develops business acumen in the Operation to advance department analytics and reporting processes. - Performs a variety of functions specific to the integrity, quality, and management of flight operations data. - Performs other duties as assigned. Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills Required: - 4 years of experience in commercial aviation industry or equivalent experience within a highly regulated industry - 2 years of experience in Business Intelligence, analytics, research, or operations - Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Arts degree preferably in Math, Science, Business, Aeronautics or other technical discipline, or an additional two years of experience in lieu of this degree. - Proficient with Microsoft Windows, Office and related software tools - Strong analytical and critical thinking skills - Good interpersonal skills - Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing - Ability to execute multiple, high priority tasks - Travel requirement: Minimum 20% - High school diploma or equivalent. - Minimum age of 18. - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred: - Experience using data analysis and database tools such as EtQ, Tableau, SQL Server Reporting Services, Microsoft Access, FileMaker Pro, or PowerBI - Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Six Sigma green belt or higher - Experience with the AAG Safety Management System (SMS) with emphasis on the Safety Risk Management (SRM) and Safety Assurance (SA) components of the program. - Working knowledge and understanding of FAA regulatory environment and FARs Job-Specific Leadership Expectations: - Embody the Horizon Spirit and conducts oneself with Professionalism, Integrity, Resourcefulness, and Caring. **PAY** The salary range for this position is $61,700 - $96,400 **START YOUR NEW JOURNEY NOW** Submit your application by 01/16/2020 11:59pm (Pacific Time).
