JOB PURPOSE:

To establish rapport and credibility in assisting customers to purchase the company’s product range whilst at the same time maintaining the company’s standard of merchandising and ensuring stock availability to achieve sales target set by the company.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Specify the output required from the job. Identify not more than 7 Key Accountabilities & their performance indicators. NB-Focus on outcomes, not tasks

Commercial:

  • Ensure Self Serve furniture area is staffed during opening hours so that customers in need of help can find their products they are looking for.

Operational: 

  • Conduct daily detailed inspection of his assigned area; review the availability and positioning of price labels, product information tags, and other communication media.
  • Review the daily stock level of all products in his assigned area and recommends orders to the Shopkeeper.

Customers:

  • Be understanding and sensitive in meeting diverse customers’ needs by initiating and developing an effective way of building relationships with the customer thereby establishing trust and confidence.
  • Determine the customers’ requirements, to prepare a proforma invoice.
  • Maintain contact and advice customers on the news or recently received items of interest as well as following up on quotations sent in an effort to convert to actual sales.

 

JOB CONTEXT: Define organizational policy and other factors that have a critical impact on the job

  • To represent the IKEA brand at the required level.
  • To maintain store standards to the required level.
  • To lead as per the values of IKEA.

 

QUALIFICATIONs:

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

  • Secondary Education

EXPERIENCE

Minimum Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years in a similar role.
