Every day, we go beyond what's expected and reach for the remarkable, together. **YOUR ROLE** Role Summary The Supervisor, Quality Control (QC) Vendor Representative role oversees the execution of Vendor Heavy Maintenance. As a people leader, leads and establishes priorities for conformity to all Alaska Airlines (AS) policies, procedures and standards, including those prescribed by CFRs as to workmanship, methods, and materials. Key Duties - Exercises personal initiative in the performance of assigned duties and works closely with the vendor quality control, engineering, maintenance, and planning departments to resolve issues and help ensure on time delivery of airworthy aircraft Supervises Vendor QC Inspectors in the performance of their duties - Ensures on-site monitoring of the overall vendor maintenance processes is implemented to assure a high level of quality and compliance - Advises the Manager Quality Control/MRO Oversight and Tooling of any major quality events or deficiencies - Identifies issues affecting the quality and integrity of the vendor's quality system - Tracks and documents vendor quality performance - Ensures inspections of in-process maintenance actions at the vendor site comply with the AS General Procedures Manual, data and procedures - Ensures inspections of completed maintenance actions at the vendor site reflect quality of the workmanship, proper documentation of inspection buy-backs, and that the paperwork is complete and accurate - Monitors workmanship and materials to verify that applicable ASA and FAA regulations and standards are compliant - Monitors the completion of required work cards and aircraft records - Monitors the NDT process to ensure use of approved data and standards, and equipment used by the vendor's NDT group, provide necessary support to NDT inspections - Complies with Safety Management System (SMS) and AS safety policies and procedures, as well as federal regulations by reporting any safety hazard or potential hazard - Includes SMS in daily work habits, and remains current in the training requirements for SMS Job-Specific Skills & Education Required - A minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience on different types of large airplanes with 10 or more passenger seats with an air carrier or certificated repair station - Bachelor?s degree or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree. - Demonstrated aptitude for leadership through formal leadership position, mentoring or coaching other team members - Airframe and Powerplant license - Aviation Maintenance Inspector experience - Effective communication skills (e.g., verbal, written, and listening) - Ability and willingness to work any shift as required - Detail-oriented and highly organized, with ability to multi-task and work independently with limited guidance in a fast-paced environment - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) Preferred - An Associate of Arts or an Associate of Science degree or higher - Leadership experience Job-Specific Leadership Expectations - Embody our values to own safety, do the right thing, be kind-hearted, deliver performance, and be remarkable. **START YOUR NEW JOURNEY NOW** Submit your application by 09/28/2020 11:59pm (Pacific Time).
