About the Role

The Logistics Manager is responsible for the identification and management of e2e operational continuous improvement initiatives. You are a key owner of the delivery of insourcing the customer experience home deliveries for IKEA, ACE and Toys R Us. Setting up an inhouse company that would provide vehicle, driver, assemblers, customer delivery tracking systems to manage deployment of E-commerce last mile enhancement initiatives
to deliver operational continuous improvement, optimisation initiatives for Retail Division


Key Specific Accountabilities:

E-commerce

  • Al Futtaim Retail insource e-commerce customer experience deliveries, project team member with specific responsibilities
  • Support deployment of multi-site fulfilment roll out programme; ACE, Toys R Us & Marks & Spencer
  • M&S mixed model fulfilment (warehouse fulfilment & last mile)

Retail

  • Watsons Saudi Arabia & Qatar roll out

Put House in Order

  • Sports, TWG, Robinsons close down specifically DIP warehouse mgt; Ikea 2022 solution 
  • Saudi Arabia warehouse consolidation
  • UAE -> Egypt E2E lead times 

Operational Project support 

  • Saudi Arabia consolidated 3PL for all KSA brands, presence in KSA during implementation
  • Group Internal Audits coordination and action follow up and delivery
  • On the ground support; UAT, sit
  • Training, process change

Data Gathering, analysis and propose fact based business cases 

  • Data drill down
  • Activity based costing, mini business case
  • Action / risk trackers
  • Process map; train implement 

People Management

  • Work with multiple internal & external stakeholders; Internal Brand Logistics Managers, COE, Digital/EIT, Finance, HR    External; Principle, Forwarder’s, 3PL 


About You

To be succesfully considered for this role, you must demonstrate the following skills and qualifications:

  • University Degree preferably with a holder of Master’s degree. Supply Chain Certification. 
  • Strong experience in E-commerce, fulfilment and last mile, Net Promoter Score culture 
  • Proven track record of 6-8+ years in Logistics & Supply Chain, in Retail industry
  • Cost modelling, presentation packs, process mapping
  • GCC - Freight, Warehousing, Transport
  • Logistics operational experience
  • Ability to manage or having worked for 3PL, Contract management 
  • Freight trends and logistics service providers knowledge/market intelligence on competency 
  • Open book budgeting, business case 
  • Project management and change management skills 
  • Familiar with root cause analysis, corrective plans, initiative tracking
  • Attention to Detail
  • Analytical with effective problem-solving skills & and is able to think strategically in any decision-making process.
  • Takes ownership and makes decisions
  • Professional, positive & displays Integrity: Communicates openly, transparently & confidently across a wide variety of internal & external audiences.  Ability to interact cross functionally with peers and senior leaders to achieve beneficial business results.
