                                        Head of Operations –  Financial Services & Leasing Contract Management

 

Job Purpose: The Head of Operations will manage all operational aspects of the Finance and Leasing contracts in Al-Futtaim Finance & Hertz. These Include:

  • Management of brokerage teams securing funding for AFA Customers
  • Contract origination for in -house finance. Both long and short term for Corporate and Retail Customers including documentation control, activation and disbursement
  • Contract origination for Leasing contracts for Retail and Corporate customers
  • Monthly Finance and Leasing contract management (billing, collection, financial and non-financial changes to contracts, etc.)
  • Management of Customer Services unit for Leasing and Finance, for Retail and Corporate Customers

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all middle and back office processes efficiently, to enable a swift and smooth less customer on boarding process on all products (leasing, finance, brokerage)
  • Monitor deal pipeline and interact with partner banks and internal stakeholders as the final point of escalation
  • Communicate and report key indicators like approval rates, contracts per FTE and TAT performance
  • Coordinate and manage all contract lifecycle activities of the finance and lease contracts, including billing, payment handling financial and non-financial changes, contract closure and early termination.
  • Manage the customer service unit enabling a great customer experience that ensures high retention rates
  • Define quality standards and ensure TATS and SLAs are met and measured / audited
  • Review, identify, and propose modifications to existing processes and organizational set- up to make them leaner and effective for both customers and stakeholders
  • Establish compliance standards for operations
  • Manage continuous cost and efficiency improvements for Financial Services Operations, in direct and indirect cost categories
  • Promote a culture of innovation and continuous process improvement
  • Provide subject matter expertise in internal and Group projects
  • Identify and coordinate teams’ training and qualification needs
  • Ensure succession plan is made and managed for all key roles
  • Provide cross skilling and development opportunities for high performing talents
  • Provide sufficient opportunities for staff to grow and develop, making use for project assignments, job shadowing and other similar opportunities

 

Education, Experience & Skills:

 

Education:

  • University bachelor’s degree required
  • Qualifications on Project Management (traditional or agile) will be advantageous.

 

Minimum Experience and Knowledge:

  • 5+ years at a Senior Management level within a Captive Finance and Leasing Company (preferred) or Bank with a substantial automotive portfolio
  • 3+ years of experience in contract activation and management in a Captive Finance and Leasing Company or Bank with a substantial automotive portfolio
  • Good problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, including presentation skills

 

Job-Specific/Technical Skills required to complete the tasks:

  • Previous relevant experience working in a Captive Finance and leasing company, preferably in the automotive sector.
  • Expertise and insight in the UAE Auto Finance Market, UAE banking and consumer finance related regulations preferred but not essential.
