What you'll do

 

This job is a member of the Customer Facing product team, within the Cargo Information Technology Division. This position is a senior technical role on a highly skilled team providing application and development solution services.  The role will be responsible for providing the technical development and solutions for our business partners and customers.

Specifically, you'll do the following:

  • Responsible for providing expert coding, testing, implementation, advice, and support of custom software applications in Java area.
  • Analyze system requirements, design, and document solutions with specified tools and methodologies.
  • Develop new software modules in an iterative way that will collectively form a larger application.
  • Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance.
  • Coordinate application implementation and test functionality to ensure specifications are met.
  • Work with Business System Analysts, Project Managers, Architects, or management to recommend process or system enhancements.
  • Perform testing across levels of the software development life cycle, including Test Driven Development, unit, system, integration, and non-functional testing.
  • Create documentation and flow charts of developed applications.
  • Provide support to the systems when required in off hours.
  • Develop software applications in MVP pattern using Agile methodology.

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience with Java, J2EE, EJB, Servlet and JSP,
  • 2+ years’ experience with Cloud Application configuration/development
  • 3+ years' of experience:
    • Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and Web Services
    • Message Driven Bean (MDB) and Java Messaging Systems
    • IBM WebSphere Server
    • SQL, Oracle , NoSql, Postgres, Mongo DB
    • JPA, Spring framework and Hibernate
      • Practical experience with Software Configuration Management (SCM).
  • JMS or Tibco messaging service
  • Maven, Gradle in addition to Jenkins pipeline
  • Continues Integration and Continues Delivery (CI/CD), GIT, SVN
  • Eclipse / Intellij IDE
  • Wsdl, xsd, xml, Json, Jquery, MVC, AJAX, SOA
  • Unix, Linux and scripting
  • Documentation web services using Swagger
  • Test Driven Development using Junit
  • Spring / Spring boot, Hibernate, JPA and web services in Soap and Rest
  • MS Azure Cloud Application Configuration/Development
