• This job is a member of the Safety Management System (SMS) Standards, Publications and Safety Promotions Team within the Safety division.
• This position will be responsible for providing support to the Manager, SMS Standards, Publications and Safety Promotions and plays a critical part in communicating safety messages and safety promotion activities to all team members across the system. The role also supports the Vice President Safety Systems, Efficiency and Compliance as needed to meet business objectives.

• Collaborates and coordinates with internal departments, and corporate communications to ensure new or changing safety policies & procedures are communicated to team members system-wide
• Ability to plan, coordinate multiple projects, and execute high level events
• Provides strategic direction to internal divisions for effective and impactful safety promotions and events across the enterprise
• Ensures projects meet branding and safety communication objectives, and are delivered on-time
• Builds and presents concepts and creative strategy ideas to leadership as required
• Works with Corporate Communications team to identify safety promotions and messaging across the enterprise

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in marketing, communications, or journalism) or equivalent experience / training
• 1-year marketing, communications, or journalism experience
• Previous experience in Graphics and/or Web Design
• Previous experience in Adobe Acrobat DC Pro, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition, InDesign, etc.), Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, Teams, and Share Point)

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Master’s degree (preferably in marketing, communications, or journalism)

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

• Solid understanding of digital media
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
• Excellent presentation skills and written / oral communication skills
• Exceptional project management skills with experience in working effectively under deadline pressures and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail with ability to be organized and make connections across functional areas
• Ability to work independently, as well as with team members; self-motivated; ‘can do’ attitude
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Ability to travel on business as needed
