  • This job is a member of the Pilot Hiring Team within the Flight Department
  • Responsible for supporting the Pilot Recruiting & Development team by coordinating hiring events designed to source and hire the best aviators in the industry. 

What you'll do

This list is intended to reflect the current job but there may be additional functions that are not referenced. Management will modify the job or require other tasks be performed whenever it is deemed appropriate to do so, observing, of course, any legal obligations including any collective bargaining obligations.

  • Respond to electronic and phone pilot inquiries received– categorize and route questions appropriately
  • Conduct remote and in-person administrative interviews for pilot candidates 
  • Process and collect data to create reports and presentations 
  • Review pilot applications and documentation for accuracy and completion
  • Work with Talent and pilot candidates to ensure candidates’ onboarding tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Initiate and follow-up with new hire onboarding tasks in preparation of mainline employment
  • Maintain class roster for accuracy to ensure proper onboarding
  • Assist with scheduling pilot candidates for administrative and in-person interviews, which may include travel and/or lodging 
  • Attend conferences and offsite events as a representative of the Pilot Hiring Team

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training
  • 2 or more years of relevant work experience

 

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • 2 or more years of aviation work experience
  • Knowledge of professional pilot career paths

 

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Experience using Microsoft Office
  • Experience maintaining high-volume email inbox
  • Experience with scheduling events and tasks
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Self-starter contributing as an integral part of a team with minimal supervision
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all levels within the organization Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams etc.
  • Ability to analyze and creatively write about pilot supply and demand, career recruiting, hiring, and general pilot industry information
  • Ability to work independently 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Ability to track and report data effectively and efficiently
