Principal Standards & Kaizen Manager

About the Position:

Automotive Aftersales Services UAE is currently looking to recruit a Principal Standards & Kaizen Manager who will be responsible to cultivate Kaizen Culture by implementing programs such as Body & Paint / Service Kodawari, Dealer Parts Operation Kaizen, Small Group Activities (SGA), Process Design, Monthly Standards Evaluation in network & Logistics Kaizen, Visualization tools, Training Development and SOP Management.

Your key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Manage implementation of B&P Kodawari in the network
  • Manage Principal Standards / Kodawari evaluation audits and action plans
  • Develop KPI for projects and get it align with the business future plans (mid-range)
  • Implement and monitor Small Group Activities to create Kaizen culture.
  • Develop process flow charts to explain current and desired process.
  • Conduct time and motion study and analysis it at both Macro and Micro level and develop process improvement proposal.
  • Engage associates by showing benefits, implementation steps and by jointly developing countermeasure of Kaizen project.
  • Rollout pilot projects into the network with strong engagement with Retail teams.
  • Compilation & creation of reports to visualize status of activities on daily basis
  • Develop and implement visualization tools in the operations – Job Planning Board, Kanban Board, Job Control Board
  • Manage the Training planning and execution of Team 21, TSA 21, Parts 21 and Adhoc (new vehicle or technology). Also, timely evaluation of output / skill level of participants.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement and provide timely status reports to members and top management.
  • Timely input on OASIS and work closely on CDEA programs with stake holders.

 

About You:

The ideal candidate for this role should have the following qualifications, experience and skills:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree 
  • 3 to 5 years in automotive experience preferably in Toyota
  • Experience of Toyota Kaizen programs (Kodawari certificate)
  • Ability to Lead project
  • Ability to Manage big teams (People Management)
  • Ability to Transfer knowledge
  • Ability to think ‘Out of Box’
  • Ability to handle Crisis
  • Ability to train and coach, build relationships and utilize skills appropriately
  • Ability to maintain fair, consistent set of standards
  • Ability adjust priorities and structure time wisely in a fast paced environment (Project planner)
  • Ability to handle the pressure
