 School Doctor | Universal American School | Dubai

 

About the role

To be responsible for preventive measures for promoting and maintaining the health and wellbeing of students and staff and provide necessary and appropriate medical treatment and ensure safe transport to the hospital when required

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Examine the students for physical health
  • Deliver first aid and emergency care during operational school days including ECAs events
  • Prevent and control the spread of communicable disease
  • Report outbreak of seasonal/epidemic diseases, to the DHA
  • Maintain the school medical files (records and report) as well as ensure the attestation of any medical certificates received within the school
  • Administer cleanliness and health of the school itself, paying attention to canteens, pools and general building facilities
  • Ensure the school is updated on current medical practices and compliant to DHA regulations
  • Conduct frequent “Overall wellbeing Awareness Campaigns”
    • Healthy eating
    • Personal Hygiene
    • Physical fitness
  • Participate in Blood Donation Campaigns
  • Breast Cancer Awareness
  • Diabetes Awareness
  • Obesity
  • HIV AIDS
  • Adolescent Education

 

About the person

Education: Recognized Medical Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Medicine or equivalent

Minimum Experience and Knowledge: At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required. 2-year experience as Paediatric and Valid DHA License required

Job-specific skills

  • Knowledge of Health and Safety Policies
