- This job is a member of the Planning Team within the Integrated Operations Division.
- Responsible for leading a team of managers/analysts/planners with significant top line impact performance within the Technical Operations Team.
- Leads the team of manager(s)/analyst(s)/planner(s) responsible for developing/executing/maintaining & monitoring material planning & distribution strategies
- Creates a relentless focus on planning & execution of Supply Chain & Distribution strategies by accessing data trends, metrics & industry advancements within Supply Chain
- Identifies new opportunities and leveraging available tools, processes, best practices and reporting
- Develops manager(s)/analyst(s)/planner(s) to ensure a high level of job proficiency and prepare them for future roles with increasing responsibility
- Develops and identifies project timelines, goals and stakeholders
- Works with department managers to identify business challenges and create solutions to address challenges
- Updates senior leadership on project milestones
- Completes justifications for upcoming projects and initiatives
- Uses various data sources to identify areas of optimization and performance improvement for department
- Seeks out action plans and identifies corrective action for department
- Resolves department issues and sets deadlines for activities
- Acts as resource for other managers and employees with respect of providing guidance and direction
- Improves communication within teams
- Provides guidance/coaching/mentorship to managers(s)/analyst(s)/planners & empower them to make effective, timely decisions
- Administrates the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Promotes harmonious working relationships within the department
- Evaluates employee performance and provides feedback
- Conducts probationary progress reports on all new employees during their probationary period to advise them of their progress and performance
- Focuses on customer needs and requirements
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Economics, Accounting or other business related field
- 5 years of experience with Airline Operations
- 2 years of experience in a leadership/management role
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- 5 years experience with Airline Operations (Supply chain/Logistics preferred)
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Strong ability to think forward - think big picture - have a vision
- Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
- Strong aptitude for working with other departments including Finance, Base Operations, and others
- Strong Financial acumen
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Very strong ability to use data/ trends to influence/justify decisions
- Strong ability to lead and motivate others
- Strong ability to write and deliver presentations to all levels of management, including senior leadership
- Ability to follow instructions, processes and procedures
- Strong ability to correct and resolves issues/problems in processes with the help of existing procedures, norms and processes
- Ability to modifies existing processes by correcting problems, resolving issues and updating existing work methods
