About the Role:

 

The role holder is responsible for the development, delivery and continued service and improvement of the digital proposition to retail customers with a heightened focus on digital car showrooms in shopping malls. The role holder’s strategic imperative is to create a seamless digital platform for retail customers which fully integrates with physical attributes for the automotive customer life cycle and customer journey.

 

Key responsibilities are as follows: 

 

  • Responsible for the digital customer proposition for Al-Futtaim passenger car brands in the UAE in addition to working with international automotive businesses on digital retail as required and agreed with the Automotive President and the Customer Relationship Director. 
  • Accelerate, strengthen and progress the automotive division’s digital retail strategy.
  • Drive digital top-line growth through collaboration with passenger car brand managing directors.
  • Use the digital retail proposition to drive efficiencies in operations.
  • Promote and create the digital culture with customers and employees in collaboration with passenger car brand managing directors and the customer relationship director. Develop relevant change management plans in collaboration with Automotive leadership team. Drive learnings and workshops.
  • Align and collaborate with Al-Futtaim’s Enterprise IT department in setting up and establishing digitization roadmaps.
  • Assess and manage vendors who provide digital services and platforms for Al-Futtaim’s automotive digital retail proposition.

 

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

A business or technical university degree is preferred.

  • Exert knowledge and experience in digital retail platforms and e-commerce is essential.
  • Experience and expertise in the Automotive field is preferred with knowledge of complete Auto business model and value chain.
  • Commercial acumen, clear strategic thinking and ability to create buy-in and influence at a senior level.

 

Minimum Experience:

  • 10 years overall experience in digital and e-commerce, preferably in relation to the Automotive industry.
  • The candidate should have experience managing teams, both through direct line management and in a matrix set up.  
  • The preferred candidate must demonstrate effective project management, communication and organizational skills with proven completion of mid to large scale projects.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Planning and execution.
  • Ability to self-manage and self-motivate.
