Job Title: Senior Infrastructure Manager
Reports to: Director – Project Management
Direct Reports: None
Department: Design and Construction – Project Management
Location: Dubai Festival City, Dubai UAE
Job Purpose
To execute and deliver civil / infrastructure projects from inception to completion, within time, to the required quality and within budget.
Key Accountabilities
Project Delivery Quality
To execute the project to ensure that the quality of the final project has achieved the quality standards defined by the project brief resulting in receipt of the Completion Certificate.
Project Delivery Progress
To execute the project to ensure that the progress of the project is achieved within the described timeframe keeping all team members informed of progress at all times.
Project Delivery Cost
To execute the project to ensure that the costs of the project are maintained within the described limits of the project viability.
Project Value Engineering
Ensure that the project team is accurately and timely informed about value added/buildability options for the projects execution.
Project Reporting
Ensure that record of project activities are maintained for the duration of the project. This will include procuring these reports from other members of the project.
Project Documentation
Ensure that a true record of the completed project documentation is available on completion of the project.
Collaborate with GIS Head of Department to include all As Builts and other records into the GIS system.
Project Construction Participants
Ensure that project participants (suppliers and contractors) are comprehensively evaluated as suitable for inclusion for the project’s execution and actively participate in evaluations and negotiations to achieve this objective.
Tender Documentation
Ensure that all Tender and Contract documentation is prepared in a co-ordinated manner in conjunction with the project team.
Qualifications, Experiences & Skills
Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:
The candidate should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction or related field.
Minimum Experience:
Minimum 15 years’ experience in the construction field either from a contracting or consulting background. Min 10 years in a position of leadership with the majority of experience gained in a multinational environment.
Have over 15 years’ experience in all infrastructure engineering aspects, master planning development, design management, project management and execution of large scale of infrastructure project, include for the following disciplines:
Sewerage and drainage networks, house connections and pumps
Irrigation networks and firefighting main network
Water supply networks and ancillary works
LV cables networks including feeder pillars and pocket substations.
Street lighting network and controls.
Telecommunication networks and GSM networks
District cooling main networks and auxiliary buildings
Familiar with design and construction of road networks
Familiar with design and construction of soft and hard landscaping works
Familiar with local Authorities regulations/standards such as DM, DEWA, RTA and Civil Defense.
Will be responsible for reviewing consultant/s design and comment on shop drawings and material submittals.
Will be responsible to update DEWA with the connecting loads of existing 132 KV substations and forecast load requirements.
Will be responsible for ensuring the availability of all utilities connections for proposed developments of plots within DFC.
Job-Specific Skills:
Civil Engineering and Building/ University Degree. Proactive approach with good communication skills developed in a multinational environment with a minimum of 15 years major project experience. Proficiency in MS Office (Word/ Excel), MS Project and GIS System implementation.
