Every day, we go beyond what's expected and reach for the remarkable, together. **YOUR ROLE** Role Summary Horizon Air is seeking a Financial Analyst to join the Financial Planning & Analysis team. This team is a trusted partner for senior leadership driving change and moving the business forward in a highly visible role. The ideal candidate is optimistic, open minded and curious, comfortable in a fast paced and changing environment. This Analyst works in a fast-paced, high-exposure team whose responsibilities include a wide range of financial and analytical work, finding opportunities for the company to reduce costs, improve productivity, and drive growth. The FP&A team will develop, manage, and maintain models to support company activities. The team also coordinates monthly close process for various divisions where needed, including accruals, PO system management, invoice review and research, and data entry into relevant support databases/models. The team assists and guides cost center managers with individual problems of planning, cost control, budget preparation, variance research and business case preparation. You must be able to lead and drive completion, finance projects and initiatives of varying scopes and sizes. Scope & Complexity This position supports strategic and complex financial planning and analysis activities for Horizon Air. Key Duties In the entry level, under general supervision, you will support and analyze financial data and make recommendations for moderately complex business problems and provide input into solutions. - Support the annual budget by assisting FP&A leaders and divis ion leaders to create a solid and executable financial plan. - Reviews monthly financial reports with each of the division and senior Finance leaders to identify key variances, trends, and potential issues that may materially impact financial performance. Generates productivity/financial metrics and drives ownership across the organization. - Ensures rigorous financial discipline is tied to achieving key company objectives. In the intermediate level, you will use solid understanding of financial fundamentals to analyze data, make recommendations for approach to solutions and make recommendations for solutions to complex business problems. - Drives the creation of executive dashboards and variance reports for operating budgets using a variety of tools (Excel, Cognos TM1, Query Reporting (SQL), Tableau). - Oversees monthly accounting/financial close and forecast process and assist with variance analysis. In the senior level, as a subject matter expert in financial fundamentals, analysis and modeling, you will apply deep knowledge and use considerable judgement to determine the approach to ambiguous challenges, exercise considerable judgement to make decisions and influence across the company. - Assists FP&A and operating division leadership in communicating industry, company and divisional financial performance/key drivers throughout division. - Assists with ad-hoc financial analysis and business case development and provides regular strategic and tactical advice/feedback to division leadership. - Engages cross-divisionally with division leaders, FP&A, AAG Finance/Accounting teams to know and understand mutual dependencies/requirements and to ensure that division financial priorities and objectives support the overall company goals and objectives Minimum Requirements Entry Level - A Bachelor?s degree or an additional two years of experience in finance, accounting, or related field that included analytics, forecasting or budgeting. - A strong working knowledge of/experience with key financial tools such as NPV, ROIC, cash flow, activity-based costing, accounting fundamentals, etc. - High level of technical aptitude in utilizing business information tools for analysis and reporting. - Experience with Microsoft Office suite, especially with strong command of Excel. - Willingness to travel on occasion for meetings and other events. - High school diploma or equivalent. - Minimum age of 18. - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Intermediate Level - 2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related field that included analytics, forecasting or budgeting. - A Bachelor?s degree or an additional two years of training/experience in lieu of this degree. - Able to analyze complex data and summarize in a concise manner, and make meaningful, timely business recommendations to execute business improvements. - Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially with strong command of Excel. - Experience working with Tableau or related query tools, Hyperion, database creation and maintenance, and PeopleSoft financials - A strong working knowledge of/experience with key financial tools such as NPV, ROIC, cash flow, activity-based costing, accounting fundamentals, etc. - Willingness to travel on occasion for meetings and other events. - High school diploma or equivalent. - Minimum age of 18. - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Senior Level - 4 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related field that included analytics, forecasting or budgeting. - A Bachelor?s degree or an additional two years of training/experience in lieu of this degree. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially with strong command of Excel and PowerPoint. - Able to analyze complex data and summarize in a concise manner, and make meaningful, timely business recommendation to execute business improvements. - Willingness to travel on occasion for meetings and other events. - High school diploma or equivalent. - Minimum age of 18. - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Job-Specific Leadership Expectations Embody our values to own safety, do the right thing, be kind-hearted, deliver performance, and be remarkable. **START YOUR NEW JOURNEY NOW** Submit your application by 08/30/2020 11:59pm (Pacific Time).
