  • ​This job is a member of the Flight Service Team within the Customer Experience Division.
  • Responsible for delivering for all catering providers' performance and compliance to contractually mandated metrics within assigned hub and region.

What you'll do

  • Conducts comprehensive evaluations of each provider’s kitchen and field operations, analyzes results and develops corrective action plans for performance failures with caterer management team
  • Analyzes performance trends and reports on flight attendant and customer data in regards to catering accuracy and service failures
  • Attends weekly operational meetings and serves as a liaison between local AA station management, Flight Service and the catering provider to resolve ongoing operational issues
  • Collaborates with Purchasing on catering bid strategies and cost cutting initiatives
  • Develops and implements alternative catering options as needed during off schedule operations and kitchen disruptions (e.g. labor actions, extreme weather conditions, etc.)
  • Manages new caterer start-ups and/or transitions and oversees training on AA specifications and procedures including: menu production, equipment/inventory management, meal ordering, aircraft servicing and aircraft ramp safety
  • Oversees catering support/coordination for charter flights as needed
  • Provides weekly reports on each catering provider’s performance within assigned region in regards to contractual metrics and performance
  • Ability to travel with short notice (including weekends and holidays)
  • Ability to work 12 - 14 hour days as necessary

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • ​Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Food service or hospitality background

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • ​Ability to problem solve and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision and able to make timely decisions independently
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • ServSafe and HAACP certification
